North Point Apartments
The primary design goal for North Point was to provide residents with casual outdoor meeting and entertainment spaces in the central courtyard and a streetscape design that was both inviting to potential residents and helped to ground and bring into pedestrian scale the large five-story building.
We were able to accomplish these goals by installing multiple raised gas fire pits. The fire pits were bound by raised planters giving the spaces a sense of intimacy within the overall courtyard. A large multi-use lawn and sand-set paver pathway tie the space together.
The streetscape was planted with columnar trees in an effort to soften the building, flowering shrubs were added for visual interest, and building entrances were highlighted with dwarf flowering trees.
