Latin Name: Salix ‘Flame’
Planting Zone: 5
The name describes it well. A great willow to use as a cut back shrub. The bright orange-red stems color in mid to late fall and last to brighten the winter garden until spring. It will stay well behaved when cut back and will not take over the garden. The green leaves of summer turn a bright golden yellow in fall and hold their golden color creating a striking contrast to the branches in the autumn landscape.
